Strange Entry
I went out to the shop-shafts, in the steel and the grime
The strawberry meth fence not sellin' this time
In rose-bushel shadows she took off her clothes
Sheet metal awnings in little neat rows
Out past the view park's an old bullet train
Sometimes you can hear when it creaks in the rain
Some sixty-five years since its hour last struck
A long time was comin for that husk to get shucked
You needn't go far and you'll come to the caves
You'll be able to tell by the way the path's paved
I saw it before me, the steel turn to land
A humanoid statue and in its left hand
A radiant dazzler that gave me a trance
And high up above its right hand with a lance
I started to wander but hadn't gone far
When the gendarmes took me back by unmanned floating car
